- Abstract in English : The paper presents an experimental investigation for analysing and evaluating the level of accessibility in urban environment and public buildings. An original methodology was created with involvement of people with disabilities into the study and evaluation process. The members of a testing group personally examined and evaluated the level of accessibility in the analysed premises. Evaluation was performed according to an extensive testing questionnaire prepared by the author of the paper. The results of evaluation were processed and presented in the Test Summary Matrix. On the basis of the investigation results conflicting zones and points were identified in different types of urban environment and public facilities, and reconstruction and improvement programs could be prepared to improve and increase the level of accessibility in the analysed areas. When repeated, the investigation allows to monitor general tendencies and trends of accessibility in any environment. The developed methodology is universal enough: it could be easily extended and applied in different types of environment as well as applied in the academic process of architectural training.
