  • Abstract in English : The rural road network suffers continually from ambiguity. On the one hand, the presence of this network and its flows offer accessibility and make a contribution to economic development. While on the other, its presence and its traffic flows cause fragmentation. In this paper, the authors will focus mainly on the relevant ecological impacts of roads and the measures necessary to mitigate these. The relevant ecological aspects can be categorized as follows: destruction or alteration of habitat; physical barriers created by roads, such as increased resistance of movement; disturbance along the roads; and traffic casualties due to increased resistance of movement; and traffic casualties due to collisions during crossing illustrates the possible effects of roads on wildlife.
