- Abstract in English : This study indicates that waste lands sites are important place for children’s play, recreation, nature experiences. The results of this study of urban waste land make it clear that: many of the needs of urban population for open space activities cannot be satisfactorily met by traditional green space planning; the character of these waste land areas stimulates direct confrontation with nature and motivates numerous activities; and that inner urban waste land represents an important additional form of open space which to date has been given little consideration and not consciously planned. This form of wild green space was found be particularly important for children.
