  • Abstract in English : As cities compete on an international stage to attract citizens and business, there is a growing emphasis on the quality of the public realm. London’s mayor Ken Livingstone is responding to this competition by setting a goal for London to become one of world’s most walking-friendly cities by 2015. Policy and implication concerning this objective are discussed.
