  • Abstract in English : It is being recognised that the barriers to full participation for disabled people in Community life are created by society. These barriers, which include physical and environmental barriers as well as social, must be removed to create conditions of full and equal opportunities. The emphasis of this paper will be on the action, which has been taken in attempting to achieve a more accessible built environment: an environment, which considers the needs of all groups in society including those who have an impairment.
