It is said that the boundaries of the Quinta haven?t changed much since its foundation in the first quarter of the 18th century. Today the park has neither got its own identity nor a good functional relationship with the surrounding urban spaces and the ruined ?main house? of the Quinta which is waiting for an opportunity.

- Brief Description : Quinta do Covelo is surrounded by the dense Porto urban tissue and is characterized by its slope stance with a strong declivity as well as its woods of oaks and pine trees in a rocky soil. In the green structure of Porto, this area is integrated in a discontinuous system making part of a group of open green spaces, amidst built-in or about-to-be-built areas.
