- Abstract in English : This chapter discusses what young people might have trust, in the city, in order to aid the development of their citizenship. I suggested that trust is needed in peers, parents, strangers and traffic and these aspects are discussed in the context of research that has been undertaken. The chapter goes on to suggest that in order for streets to be sustainable then young people should be listened to and involved in the processes affecting their streets in the urban context. Examples of how children and young people can be listened to and involved in their streets and urban environments are then discussed
