Plain areas, which have an important agricultural potential are commonly used by such as transportation puposes, settlements and industrial establishments. Highways, which are passing through the plains damage natural potentials and cause various ecological problems. In this reason, practing of environmental impact assessment (EIA) to transportation projects have been unavoidable
In this study, Anatolian motorway is selected as a sample, which to determine its effects on agricultural lands in Düzce Plain, has been aimed.
