- Abstract in English : Home zones are residential streets in which the road space is shared between drivers of motor vehicles and other road users, with the wider needs of residents (including people who walk and cycle, and children) in mind. The aims of home zones are improving the quality of life in residential streets by making place for people, not just for traffic. An increase in funding has led to a revitalised interest in home zones, and new opportunities for the landscape design profession. The value of home zones is assessed.
