The Swabian Alb is a century since the traditional sheep farming area. The shepherd Race is the old Swabian festival for a long time, now every two years, the Shepherd’s Race takes place in BadUrach.
The heyday of the sheep in the 19th century it was one of the most important summer grazing area for shepherds and a center of world wool market. The crossing of the French and Spanish Merino sheep led to the internationally widespread sheep breed sheep Wuerttemberg, also known as Merino sheep. Today about 90% of the sheep population in the project area belong to this sheep breed.
Aims:
Increase the local sheep marketing to:
• Getting high quality of sheep products.
• Economic growth also provides new jobs to the area.
• Keep the local Identity of the Area.
• Attract the tourist.
• Adding new elements to the area with keeping beautiful landscape, which the area has it.
I just ask myself to know what is my task in this project, therefore I define this question to go on in this direction in my study also try to find the best solution for development.
