campus.office: The pavilion of the University of Anhalt in the Landesgartenschaw Aschersleben was design and constructed by students of the University. This mobile, modular pavilion, used for lectures, seminars and exhibitions can change its size depending on the weather and intended use. In addition to the pavilion, a floating reflecting drop-shaped element among the trees of the park enables the visitor to take an active part in the installation. The installation shows new ways for the organization of public space, blurring the traditional interpretation of “garden”. This hybrid “public” space can be regarded as to be in-between Landscape Architecture, Art Installation and Urban Design.
