- Brief Description : The park, a French style one, has been designed to celebrate 40 years of reign of Carol I, king of Romania. In 1906 it also hosted an exhibition. Today both historic studies and reconstruction attempts are being done for this. During the communist regime, it suffered changes, being renamed a while to Liberty park. At the begin of the 21st century the monument today in the centre of the park, built by Nicolae Cucu, an architect who studied in Italy, was in danger of being replaced by a huge orthodox cathedral.
