  • Abstract in English : This paper proposes and examines two frameworks that conceptualise the relationship between older people’s Quality of Life (QoL) and the environment. The first model employs physical activity, which involves a person’s functional ability and environmental factors, as a proximal predictor of QoL. The second model postulates that a good Person-Environment (P-E) fit is conducive to better wellbeing. The paper outlines the theoretical backgrounds of each framework, empirical evidence presented in past research and operational definitions of constructs used in the frameworks.
