Der verschlüsselte Raum

The access to this theme will be a group analysis of the historical open space Karlsaue in Kassel. Besides we want to research how symbols got their different meanings through the centuries.
With this background and under the aspect of the increasing cultural diversity we want to assume how it will be possible to upload a landscape with a spiritual imagery.

The final workingstep for the students was to redesign the BUGA area of 1981 in Kassel and to fill their drafts with symbols which are understandable nowadays and in future.

The result will be an “encrypted open space” – a landscape which reveals the insider their subtexts – maybe by a treasure hunt or a modern GPS stash hunt.
