Dr. Attila Tóth


Dr. Attila Tóth is a freelance landscape architect, currently working as assistant professor (PhD) at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, where he completed his PhD in 2015. He studied landscape architecture and landscape & spatial planning in Slovakia and Austria. His main scientific interests are green infrastructure from the perspective of landscape architecture, rural cultural landscapes, and urban agriculture. He has conducted research scholarships in Austria (2012; 2014-2015) and scientific missions in Spain (2013) and New Zealand (2014). He has authored over 100 scientific and professional publications. He is Board Member of the LE:NOTRE Institute, specialist adviser and consultant in landscape architecture, Editorial Board Member of the international scientific journal EKOLÓGIA (Bratislava), ECLAS Contact Person and representative of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, and Scientific Commission Member of the G200 Association. His main achievements include two ECLAS Outstanding Student Awards (Master 2013, Doctoral 2016); the Ernst Mach Scholarship (2014/2015); the Green Talents Award for outstanding achievements in sustainability research (2017); and the BMW Award for Sustainability and Innovations (2014).
