- Abstract in English : With regard to agricultural use the realization of the Agenda 2000 essentially causes a change from the present subsidy of products to the subsidy of cultivated area. The prices which can be obtained should be led up to the level of world market prices. First the present contribution outlines the possible trends, if the European agrarian policy was continued in 2007. Furthermore the consequences for the preservation and the development of our cultural landscape are discussed, if the economical guidelines were changing. If the agrarian market wasd liberalized extensively, the cultivation of high-yielding sites will be intensified. Contrarily the agricultural utilization is supposed to be abandoned on marginal sites. In consequence the historically evolved open cultural landscape will change strongly. In the professional discussion varied ideas are proposed how to develop the future landscape. In principle they are referring to static and dynamic positions. In order to develop our cultural landscape cautiously dynamic models have to be formulated concerning the larger part of the affected area. If farmland is abandoned on a large scale it is not realistic to maintain such open areas through conventional methods of contract nature protection. The authors recommend taking the approaches to "process protection" into consideration as a practicable alternative. The wide range of approaches "process protection" is compiled and categorized for the first time. A discussion of segregative and integrative approaches is given. The experimental testing of extensive agricultural use is proposed. The minor status the approaches to "process protection" take in Germany is discussed. Concluding it is evaluated, which status the approaches to "process protection" can take as a new strategy for nature protection with regard to possible developmental scenarios.
