The natural potential of an area, often used in urban-architectural and landscape practice, are considered priority criteria in the rehabilitation policy and in establishment of the intervention strategies on the aesthetic-functional valutation of a city.
In this case, the architectural-planning and landscape thinking try to correlate and integrate knowledge regarding the features of the natural environment, recreational landscape of the city, as well as the connection between inhabitant and the residential urban space.
An important element is the potential of the study area, revitalisation of the recreational and ecological components, but also a proper functioning mechanism of an area, situated most of the time, in our country in neutral and uncertain, as well as being able to achieve coherent urban spaces with a healty urban metabilism in the context of major climate changes.
The theme of this research is situated in this space of the current concerns, trying to use streamline terms in research to establish categories and typologies of urban residential spaces depending on various criteria as well as categories of residential spaces depending on possible problems which may appear on the site.
