- Abstract in English : Within the framework of agriculture policy-making, the worldwide demands for sustainable development in general are related to the sustainable development of rural areas in particular. According to the definitions of sustainability, four fundamental aspects are considered: food security, employment and income generation, environmental and natural resource conservation and people’s participation and empowerment. In this paper, the authors are dealing with some of the basis features of the above-mentioned problems.
