  • Abstract in English : Horticultural activities have been helpful as therapy among the physically and mentally disabled, the elderly, displaced refugees etc. Studies show that working with plants promotes health and well being in these and other groups. College students, a population vulnerable to significant stress, have not been a focus of previous horticultural therapy research. This study was undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of a horticultural therapy intervention to determine its effects on students’ perception of there stress levels. This study shows that a horticultural intervention was highly effective in reducing students’ perceptions of stress.
