Jardim Vila das Artes is part of a lively zone used by local people and tourists, where are located a college of Arts and a pavillion that
regularly hosts arts exhibitions. Considering this aspect, were created three access entries in the park, arranged next to the main nearby streets.
It was aimed to establish a main foothpath, at a low terrain level, that connects the entries to a central meeting area and a glade. Surrounding the open space area, secondary paths, at higher terrain levels, explore terrain modelling, leading to areas of contemplative views.
At the east and west ends of the park, the vegetation cover is more expressive due to its variety and size, providing shadow and a sense of discovery, at the east end, and working as a sound and visual barrier to the amphitheater, at the west. The resting areas are punctuated by shrub clumps that give a sense of expanse and are yet surrounded by tree borders framing the space.
Therefore, the current proposal, aim to combine active and passive recreation spaces, promoting socialization through public use of local residents and stakeholders.
