- Abstract in English : Through a literature search, this paper critically assesses the field of landscape architecture by evaluating its societal value as demonstrated by promotion of health, safety and general welfare. The resulting evidences suggest that activities of landscape architects do indeed have value to society. A database search keyword list is presented
