- Abstract in English : This article is about how planners can and should use landscape history as a planning tool to understand change on our way towards dealing with the landscape as a whole. As the author will argue, the history of each landscape is unique – is also complicated. Trivial history will have limited veracity and little utility in planning. Although the full history of Long Pond (US) cannot be reported in this space, highlights from it will be used to illustrate the arguments.
