- Abstract : The study ''URBAN METABOLISM. An Unconventional Approach of Urban Organism, proposed a transdisciplinary research and a new approach of Human relationship with the City, like a "complex of space and volumes" of a temporal, perceptual and informational protective and ”intelligent skin”, in continuous metamorphosis and interchange. By promoting the motto ''creating by nature'', the work promotes a unitary metabolic concept, of Human Space in relation with natural and anthropogenic environment, architecture and city, seen as living organisms, in connection with the Planet and the Universe, in transdisciplinary acknowledge. The study proposes that the main objective, the analogy between the biological organism and ”body” areas (cities organism), through searching for new theories and approaches, diagnosis and analysis in urban architecture and landscape, considered unconventional science from study domain. Urban metabolism is promoted like a process, through a Holistic approach, in direct relationship with the Man, Planet and Universe. Theories and unconventional methods come from: complexity science and morphogenetic field, fractal and constructal theory, computer science, music and sonology, sacred geometry and geography.
