  • Abstract in English : The paper presents experimental research for analyzing and evaluating the level of accessibility in urban environment and public buildings performed jointly with Helsinki University of Technology. Original methodic was created with involvement of people with disabilities into research and evaluation process. The members of the testing group personally tested and evaluated the level of accessibility in the analyzed premises. Evaluation has been performed according to the extensive testing questionnaire prepared by the author of this paper. The results of evaluation were processed and presented in the Testing summary matrix. Based on the results of this research conflict zone and points are identified in different spheres of urban environment and public facilities. Based on this reconstruction and improvement programs are prepared to improve and increase the level of accessibility in the analyzed areas. When repeated the research allows to monitor tendencies and trends in a general aspect of accessibility of environment. The developed methodology is universal enough: it could be easily extended and applied in different spheres of environment as well as applied in academic process of architectural training.
