Brief Description : This is the largest urban park in the country, with an area of about 80 hectares, extending to the Atlantic Ocean. Completed in 2002, it comprises several amenities, including the rural center (incorporating a restaurant, a tea room with terrace and an arena for the use of the Pony Club and an Environmental Education Center), playgrounds and about 10 km of paths.
It integrates traditional techniques of rural construction and owns several species of native vegetation, being the flora rich and diversified. There are about 74 tree species, 42 shrub species, 15 species of fruit trees and 10 aquatic species, totaling tens of thousands of species. Is an important point of biodiversity, where can be found several fauna species, such as wild ducks, swans, geese, water hens, fish, frogs, toads, rabbits, various reptiles, etc.
