Approaches To Analysing The Landscape : Objectives:- establishing a means of integration in the macro territorial landscape;- the coherent organisation of a green system (considering the landscape, urban and architectural aspects) - also specifying the categories of intervention required to put it into practice- setting up a landscape strategy in all its components at both natural and man-made/built (urban, architectural) and cultural level;- proposing a green municipal system and its integration in the spatial-volumetric ambient image in correspondence with the importance of its natural heritage values and its role in shaping a brand image of the city of Galati,- the protection, the rehabilitation and the enhancement of natural heritage represented by green spaces in the connection area with the ecosystems of the territory;- balanced and efficient distribution of the activities in the area, according with the main urban function, the vocation of the area and its insertion in the city's spatial-functional context;- raising the civic behaviour and the urban responsible attitude towards the urban green spaces.

Methods of Landscape Assessment : The aim of the study is to establish the objectives and the priority landscape projects needed to be applied in the usage of the land, in the landscape organisation of a coherent green system and in the determination of touristic, sport and leisure activites with respect to the strategy of urban development that is going to be set through the Masterplan and in accordance with the population's opinion.The project's objective is to elaborate a landscape study in order to guide the urban development of the city and to unlock/prepare the investment process.
Problem Description : The issues that constitute the current study interest gravitate around the protection, and the management of the landscape in the municipality of Galati, considering all their components: the natural landscape, the anthropic/built and cultural landscape.
