Im Projekt werden die Möglichkeiten der Farbkartierung und -rekonstruktion ausgelotet und anhand der Entwürfe Petzolds Wege aufgezeigt, wie Gehölzpflanzungen in ihrer Farbigkeit nachvollzogen werden können. Das Projekt umfasst Grundlagenarbeit insbesondere auf dem Gebiet der historischen Pflanzenverwendung.
