This research project aimed to provide a better understanding of landscape performance in relation to the incorporation of the measures set out in the ELC in present policy, advice and guidance at a number of different levels and over a variety of sectors in England. The project was not meant to be fully comprehensive and offers a “snap shot” in time. It provides a basis to identify the need for further policy advice and guidance.
