  • Abstract in English : This paper is report on a current research project and consideration of how this applies in outdoor environments. The research project is being carried out by a leading not-for-profit access consultancy with research and academic partners. The programme of work will follow a pattern of identifying the issues involved and obtaining information from appropriate sources. This will include a literature search, to ensure that the research team takes account of any recent work in this area. Having collected this information, the project team will use a mixture of interviews and workshops to gain more information on the current issues related to signage and wayfinding for people with learning difficulties by consulting users and organisations representing them. The research project is due to conclude in November 2004
