To outline a new approach to the rehabilitation of existing residential buildings – a complex rehabilitation, integrated to building assemblies, while respecting the principles of sustainable development. The central idea of the project was to define integrated systems that solve properly the complex rehabilitation problems of collective housing in our country after the models applied in other advanced countries in the field.
In this purpose it was defined a analysis-diagnosis metholdogy, according to a specific set of proposed criteria and adapted for the first time in our country, a computer program used for the evaluation and certification of sustainable buildings, based on statements made on different criteria and scores granted. A similar type of certificate for complex rehabilitation of buildings assemblies by applying the sustainable development was proposed, suggesting a classification of the total score given on 4 levels, from which to obtain certificates of sustainable behaviour – from the “bronze key” to the “platium” one.
The analysis methodolgoy was applied as study case to an area located in Politehnicii neighbourhood from Bucharest, sector 6, where the rehabilitation of a block is already performed. The intervention is part of the National Program of thermic rehabilitation based on a energy audit, a building energy performance certificate and a technical project.
The case study began with an urban-architectural analysis and was continued by proposing integrated solutions for rehabilitation of residential complexes in the area, including landscape design and planning, water and waste management and renewable energy sources. An intervention methodology for the rehabilitation of multi-floor buildings was applied, starting from the urban and landscape study to the construction detail. Integrated solutions have been adopted, using materials and technologies that meet sustainable development principles. In the end the sustainability certificate was issued.
