Diploma project solves housing problems and improves the outdoor environment for
Lund University students. The project focuses on the connection between man’s
health/well-being and outdoor environment in urban conditions.
The project comprises the studies of the existing situation at the university campus, as
well as its historical development; analysis of the transport, cyclist and pedestrian
movements, wind directions, shading, green structure and its values. It includes space
analysis of the area and distinctive view directions.
Student housing design project proposes the solutions for the student dorm courtyards
and adjacent areas of the park improvement. Technical and economical calculations are
listed in the projects as well as installation and maintenance works.
