- Abstract in English : Street improvements projects are implemented not only to accommodate a large volume of traffic but also to improve the design quality and aesthetic value of streetscapes. The word streetscape refers to landscapes consisting of road paving, street furniture. Vegetation and roadside buildings. When a streetscape is designed well, the street becomes an amenity zone and an attractive shopping venue for surrounding residential area. This study discusses the effectiveness of contingent valuation methods in evaluating the visual quality of streets. Economic valuation methods provide effective design methods that balance cost-effectiveness with the quality of urban design.
