- Brief Description : Vienna's Weghuber Park is located next to the site of the former baroque
garden of the Palais Trautson, which had fallen into discuse by the end
of the eighteenth century. In the second half of the ninteenth century,
the original Weghuber Park was created along Museumstrasse. In the
early part of the twentieth century, the park was combined with the site
of the old baroque garden. This structural change over the course
of time was the starting point for the design planning. The intenion was
for the baroque garden, the street in front of the palace, and the
original Weghuber Park to once again be recognisable as independent
spatial elements. The previous parterre was turned into a conroured
lawn area that park visitors are allowed to walk on. The transition to
the street is formed by broad beds of perennials, with leisure areas
interspersed between them. The playground was enlarged to include the
terrain's shift in level up to the former baroque garden (Lička, L.;Grimm, K. (Hg.)
